Think again. Members of the Third Battalion the Jamaica Regiment (National Reserve) are only required to serve a minimum of 19 days for the year, which allows them to have gainful employment elsewhere, while still being able to serve their country in times of need.\n\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t&nbsp;\n\t\t<\/p>\n\n\t\t<p>\n\t\t\tWhy not join and be a soldier in an infantry battalion, a pilot of a JDF aircraft or a crew member on a naval vessel?\n\t\t<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-sm-6 col-md-6 col-lg-6\">\n\t<div class=\"services-wrapper\">\n\t\t<p>\n\t\t\tThe <a href=\"requirements\">requirements<\/a> and procedures for becoming a member of the Third Battalion the Jamaica Regiment (National Reserve) as an officer or soldier, are the same as that of the Regular Force with two notable exceptions:\n\t\t<\/p>\n\n\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t1. Applicants are accepted up to age 28.\n\t\t<\/p>\n\n\t\t<p>\n\t\t\t2.
