The indoctrination training of our new soldiers is an essential step in their military career, especially as it pertains to their effectiveness in the Jamaica Regiment.
During indoctrination, soldiers are reintroduced to our core competence skills to include discipline, marksmanship, tactical movements and others which they must master in order to be effective infanteers.
Brigade Commander Col Mahatma Williams visited the training grounds yesterday to remind the newly posted soldiers of what it means to be a part of the Jamaica Regiment and the pride associated with being an infanteer. He also reminded them that what we do is for the people of Jamaica whom we serve as our motto states “Pro Gente” which translates
