Brigadier Radgh N Mason
Brigadier (Brig) Radgh N Mason is a former member of the national under 16 football team of 1986. His enlistment in the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) dates from 23rd October 1989. He is currently the Brigade Commander of the Caribbean Military Academy. His previous appointment was Brigade Commander of the Jamaica Regiment, with responsibility for coordinating the land operations of the Force. His experience grew consequent to senior appointments in the last ten (10) years, including Commanding Officer Support and Services Battalion (2013 to 2016), Staff Officer Personnel and Administration (2011 to 2013), Staff Officer Finance and Logistics (2007 to 2009), and Second in Command 1st Battalion The Jamaica Regiment (2006 to 2007). Also, earlier appointments include:
Officer Commanding Headquarters Company (Combat and Logistics Support) 1st Battalion The Jamaica Regiment (2004 to 2005), Force Paymaster (1999 to 2004), Officer Commanding Charlie Company 1st Battalion The Jamaica Regiment (1997 to 1998), Assistant Staff Officer Finance (1995 to 1996), Training Officer JDF Military Training Wing (MTW) (1992 to 1994), and Platoon Commander (1991 to 1992).

The United States Army War College (USAWC) (2017 to 2018), Defence Academy of the United Kingdom (2017), Management Institute for National Development (MIND) (2015 to 2016), United States Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) (2010 to 2011), Nanjing Army Command and Staff College People’s Republic of China (NACSC-PR China) (2005 to 2006), Caribbean Junior Command and Staff College (CJCSC) (1995), British Adjutant General’s Corps Staff and Personnel Support (AGC-SPS) (1998), British School of Infantry-Platoon Commanders Battle Course (1993), and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) (1990). Also, he attained a bachelor’s degree (double major) in Management Studies and Accounting (1998), Master’s degree in Computer Based Management Information Systems (CBMIS) (2003), Master’s degree in Military Arts and Science (MMAS) (2010), and a Master’s degree in Military Strategic Studies (MSS) from the U.S Army War College (2018). He is also a graduate of the inaugural Diploma in Public Sector Senior Leadership Development Programme (PSSLDP) (2015 to 2016).
In congruence with his military career, he is a Justice of the Peace for the Parish of Kingston. Also, serving as Treasurer (2002 to 2005), Vice President (2012 to 2014), and President of the Board of Directors of the JDF Cooperative Credit Union Ltd (2014 to 2017), he made significant contributions to the success of the entity. Other Board appointments pertain to the boards of directors of the Jamaica Cooperative Credit Union League (JCCUL) (2015 to 2017), and the National Youth Service (NYS) (2013 to 2015).
Brig Mason is a past student and former Deputy Head Boy of the Meadowbrook High School, and subsequently serving as the Vice President of the Meadowbrook High School Past Student Association (MHSPSA). His representation of the JDF and Jamaica in numerous activities overseas avails for game changing insights in treating with complex problems. He strides to initiate and support change initiatives in training, pay and allowances, finance, personnel administration, information technology, policy development, sports, and strategic leadership.
