The JDF got their second victory in the Jamaica Cricket Association 50 over competition with a 15 -run triumph over T20 champions Kensington on Saturday. Batting first, JDF were dismissed for 216 off 46.1 overs as captain Leighton Leslie top-scored with 57, Kevin Daley made 37 and West Indies player Sheldon Cottrell 22 against 4-28 from Nicholson Gordon and 2- 63 from Jamie Haye.
Kensington got off to a poor start and were 2 wickets down without scoring a run at one stage as Cottrell was on a hat-trick in his very first over. Kensington eventually recovered to make 201 all out as Denneil Griffiths made an unbeaten 77, haye added 39 and Delbert Gayle 30, but they fell 15 runs short after being bowled out for 201. Marlon Saunders ended up being the top wicket-taker with 3-33 while Rafiek Bryan and Cottrell got 2 wickets apiece.
