Lieutenant Colonel Rudolph St M Reynolds
Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Rodulph St Michael Reynolds was born in July 1973 in St Elizabeth, Jamaica. He was the 3rd of four (4) children. He completed secondary education at Munro College from 1984 – 1989 and at the Mannings High School from 1989 to 1991.
He enlisted in the Jamaica Defence Force on 12 August 1996 and successfully completed Young Officers’ Training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Over the years Lt Col Reynolds has completed military training in several other areas. These include: Caribbean Junior Command and Staff Course (Jamaica); All Arms Service Funds Course (Jamaica); Infantry Captains’ Career Course (USA); Army Command and Staff Course (China); Strategic Command Course (Jamaica); Advance Command and Staff Course (UK).
He has held a number of military appointments including Infantry Platoon Commander, Adjutant, Recruit Training Officer, Infantry Battalion Intelligence Officer, Infantry Company Second-In-Command, Officer Commanding Transport Company, Support Flight and Protected Mobility Vehicle Squadron. He also served as a Staff Officer responsible for personnel matters at the Headquarters Jamaica Defence Force and is presently the first Commanding Officer for the Corps of Military Police which was formed on 1st September 2019.
Lt Col Reynolds has participated in numerous local and regional training exercises to include: Exercise Calypso Hop, (UK – 1998, 2000, 2004), Exercise French Commando, (Guadeloupe – 2006) and Peace Keeping Operation North (Nicaragua – 2008). His experience in different types of training is significant. He is the recipient of the Medal of Honour for Meritorious Service.
His civilian education includes a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester and a Master of Arts Degree in Defence Studies from Kings College London.
He is married to Andrene and has two (2) children (Rudolph (III) and Alyssa). His hobbies include: snorkeling and cycling.
