Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) Christopher L Allen was born on the 6 December 1970.  He attended Trench Town Comprehensive High School and several other learning institutions for his secondary level education before enlisting in the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) on the 2nd August 1990.

He held several appointments during his professional career journey in the JDF, such as: Training Sergeant at the then Newcastle Training Depot, Platoon Sergeant, QM G1098 Sergeant, Company Quartermaster Sergeant, Company Sergeant Major (CSM), Permanent Staff Instructor (PSI), Drill Sergeant, Second Battalion the Jamaica Regiment (2 JR), Unit Sergeant Major (USM), Regiment Sergeant Major (RSM), First Battalion the Jamaica Regiment(1 JR), Brigade Training Sergeant Major (BTSM), JNR Brigade.WO1 C ALLEN currently holds the appointment as the Brigade Sergeant Major (BSM) for the Maritime Air Cyber Command (MACC) Brigade.

He has the distinct privilege of attending several military and professional courses both locally and internationally. He has successfully attended several military professional /civil courses both locally and overseas. His courses include: Potential Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) Course, Section Commanders’ Battle Course, Warrant Officers’ Course13/01, CJCSC , SNCO Cadre, Staff Non-Commission Officers’ Advanced Course, where he attained a diploma from the Marine Corps University, Virginia USA. Military Operations Other Than War (MOOTW) Course, Virginia, USA, Basic Urban Skills Training (BUST), Marine Corps War fighting Lab, Advance Drill Instructor Course 14/01, JDF/ FLA Pistols and Shot Gun (Small Arms) – Instructor Course,  Supervisory Management Course, (UWI), Speech Writing and Public Speaking Course, UWI, State Protocol and Business Etiquette (M.I.N.D), Peer Support Course (UTEC), Phlebotomy Technician Course, National Academy (diploma).

He was awarded Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in 2008; he is also the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and was recently awarded the Jamaica Military Commendation Medal for Excellence.
