Warrant Officer Class One Williams

 

WO1 WILLIAMS has had a long and storied career within the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). Since his enlistment on January15, 1995, WO1 WILLIAMS has risen steadily through the ranks and now holds the appointment/position of Training Warrant Officer at the First Battalion The Jamaica Regiment. He has served overseas in the Haiti Restoration (2010) and Buckingham Palace Guard (1999).

Prior to his current post appointment as Company Sergeant Major, Chief Instructor at the Caribbean Infantry Training Centre (CITC), WO1 WILLIAMS served in the capacity of Platoon Sergeant, Training Sergeant, Section commander, Section 2 ic, Squad Instructor, Rifleman, Armstoreman among others and now holds the Portfolio Of RSM CMP.

His quest for knowledge and commitment to the Force has led him to undertake a significant number of courses throughout his military career. Among these are: French Commando Course (1996), Potential Non-Commissioned Officers’ Cadre (1997), Junior Non-Commissioned Officers’ Cadre (2002), Instructors Course (2004), Jungle Warfare Instructor Course (2004), Senior Non-Commissioned Officers’ Cadre (2006), Combat Engineer Course 0 – C3 (2009), Basic Close Quarter Battle Course (2010), Basic Urban Skills Course (2011), Advanced Urban Combat Course (2011), Range Management Qualification Course SA (B)90 (2011), 1 st Responder to Terrorism (2013), Combat Engineer Course Class 1 (2014), Combat Engineer Demolition Course Class 1 (2014), Advanced Drill Course (2016), Warrant Officer Course (2016). Additionally WO1 WILLIAMS also holds certificates in The National Council on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NCTVET) Level 4 Assessment, Computer Literacy and Supervisory Management.

He has a passion for playing football and cricket, physical fitness, accurate drill movements and keeping a tight schedule.

WO1 WILLIAMS is married to Moyalee and is the father of two (2) children.
